Nature Index Reaches New High

Recently, the nature index website published the latest natural index ranking. 

According to the latest "nature index" (calculated from December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018), the WFC (weighted fractional count) index of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology(SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) is 22.77, which is 57.7% improvement from last year. 

In the CAS system ranking 22th, up 11 places from last year. Ranking 87th among universities in China, 6th in Guangdong.  

In the past two years, the number of scientific papers published by SIAT has been steadily improved, and the quality of papers has been improved by leaps and bounds. The WFC index has increased by nearly 10 every year on average. 

By the end of 2018, SIAT has published a total of 8,565 professional papers, including 3,893 SCI indexes and 3,237 EI/ISTP indexes. 

It has published 37 articles in the sub-journals of SCIENCE and NATURE. International cooperation papers in the CAS system ranking has entered the top 10, which is a remarkable achievements. 

Nature index is a database affiliated to Springer Nature group, an internationally renowned scientific and technological publishing institution. It was first published in November 2014 and mainly calculated and counted the number of research papers published by various scientific research institutions in 82 natural Science journals such as Nature series, Science and Cell in the previous year. 

The 82 source journals are divided into four categories: chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, life sciences and physics. The nature index has become an important index to evaluate the output of high-level academic achievements of scientific research institutions.
