To support the well-being of its international talent community, the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) organized a Health Salon event on August 30th. The event provided essential guidelines in English for outpatient services, personal health management, physical examination reports, and personal pension insurance policies.

At the start of the event, Director HUANG Shuqiang from the Human Resources Department of SIAT introduced the session and noted that it featured experts from our “neighboring hospital”, Shenzhen University General Hospital (SUGH), who provided comprehensive health insights and guidance.

He emphasized that SIAT has always prioritized the physical and mental well-being of its employees, and this event aligns with the goals of the CAS 3H Project (House, Home, and Health). With the ongoing process of internationalization, the number of foreign employees at SIAT continues to grow. This year, SIAT has launched the lecture specifically for our international staff and students, aiming to offer more comprehensive services to all employees.

During the presentation session, Dr. CAI Feiyue, Head of the Health Management Center at SUGH, Dr. WANG Yansheng, Associate Chief Physician from the Outpatient Department, and Dr. ZOU Xueqin, Associate Chief Physician from the Endocrinology Department, delivered professional reports on topics such as maintaining a balanced lifestyle, managing chronic conditions, and effectively navigating the local healthcare system for foreign researchers and students.

Their presentations provided practical advice on accessing medical services, understanding local health policies, and making informed decisions regarding personal health management, ensuring that all employees feel supported and informed in their healthcare journey.

Additionally, during the medical consultation session, physicians from various departments at SUGH offered one-on-one recommendations by analyzing the physical examination reports of SIAT staff.

This event reflects SIAT's commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and a supportive environment for international professionals by addressing their health-related needs and enhancing their understanding of local medical services.

Special thanks to the dedicated doctors from SUGH for their contributions to this event and their continued support in promoting the health and well-being of the international community.
