At present, SIAT has 531 full-time international and high-level faculty members, of which 341 are doctoral supervisors and 190 are master's supervisors, with more than 74% of them having overseas experience. 2,470 students are studying at SIAT with more than 99.6% being postgraduates, and 109 are international students. SIAT offers PhD and master programs in six disciplines, including Computer Science and Technology, Control Science and Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Optical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering, with cross-disciplinary characteristics. At the same time, SIAT actively expands education cooperation and has already carried out with more than 30 Chinese and international institutions, such as the University of Science and Technology of China, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Macao, covering all levels of cultivation of master's degree and doctoral degree, gives full play to the academic strengths, resources, and facilities of all parties, and joins hands to cultivate high-quality, top-notch and innovative talents with an international outlook and competitiveness to promote the development of the quality of higher education.

In 2024, the overall employment and advancement implementation rate of SIAT graduates is 97%. 17% of graduates receive an annual salary exceeding 400K RMB, 25% of graduates pursue further study in famous Chinese and international institutions, 22% of graduates work for Fortune 500 enterprises, such as Huawei, Tencent, and Alibaba, and nearly 60% of SIAT graduates are employed in the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao areas.
