YANG Jianhua

Secretary of the Party

YANG Jianhua, Male, Han, born in AN Xiang, Hunan Province, China in March, 1970. He graduated with a Master’s degree in management from University of Science and Technology of China. He was at Harvard Kennedy School from 2002 to 2003 for advanced visiting research. He is currently the Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science, a part-time Professor at Chinese Academy of Government, and a part-time lecturer at China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong, Tsinghua University, Peking University, etc.

Since graduation in 1992, he had been working in Chinese Academy of Science until 2012, and successively served as Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Graduate School, President Assistant, Secretary of Institute General Office, Vice Director of the Science Times, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Party Committee.

In March 2010, he started to work in Zhongguancun Administration Committee after the guest leader role for two years, serving as Vice Director (Bureau Level) for six years. During the years working in Zhongguancun Administration Committee, he took the lead in planning compilation, pilot policies, independent innovation capacity building, international Development, special talent zone construction, science and technology finance innovations, etc.

In March 2017, he was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science. In addition to his full responsibility for Party Committees and cadres, he is mainly responsible for cooperation and industrialization between SIAT and local government.
