Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science (SIAT) is committed to building an international first-class research institute while striving to give full play to its advantages in scientific and technological innovation, promote the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talents, build a collaborative education system between industry, academia and research and a multi-type cultivation model, and cultivate a large number of top-notch innovative talents in scientific research. After 19 years of development, SIAT has accumulated rich experience in postgraduate training and has trained more than 13,000 postgraduates.

At present, SIAT has 567 full-time international and high-level faculty members, with more than 70% of them having overseas experience. 2,393 students are studying at SIAT with more than 99.6% being postgraduates, among which 100 are international students. SIAT offers PhD and master programs in six disciplines, including Computer Science and Technology, Control Science and Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Optical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering, with cross-disciplinary characteristics.
